My Theory on Other M

So, you may or may not know that I have a channel on Youtube where I review video games, and I recently tackled the piece o' shit that is Metroid: Other M. In FOUR GODDAMN VIDEOS! I drew this picture to help illustrate my theory on the REAL backstory behind that game. I drew this some time ago for part 3 of the review and I figured... screw it; upload it and take what flames may come. (From Vicky, specifically)

It is my theory that the Samus portrayed in that game is not the real Samus; it's an imposter while the real Samus is held captive by Sylux, who- according to the Hunters strategy guide- has been stalking Samus and waiting to strike and who is seen pursuing her at the end of Metroid Prime 3 (a plot thread that has yet to be resolved). Between the X, Gandrayda, and the perfectly humanoid android in Other M it would've been piss easy for Sylux to plant an imposter Samus into the Federation's ranks so that nobody notices that the real one is gone. The protagonist of Other M is CLEARLY the imposter, while the real Samus is held captive aboard Sylux's ship. He probably wants the tech of her Chozo Power Suit, since he's established to be using nothing but stolen Federation prototypes for his equipment while she blows up planets. Samus' armor distintegrates when you get killed in a Metroid game, so he needs to keep her alive to access it.

I also have a theory about Sylux using the device that the Federation uses to copy Commanders' brains in Fusion to give his replicant Samus all of the original's memories, but the transfer screwed up; explaining why the imposter acts so wildly out of character.

I hope to God that Nintendo retcons that game instead of just declaring it non-canon, but it might be better for everyone to just pretend that game ever happened.
